Truckee Trip

We were finally able to take a family vacation! With Greg's work never giving him paid time off or Holidays, its very hard to get away for a vacation. We decided to head to Cailfornia to visit my parents. The last time we were there Caiden was only 18 monthes. We left very early so the car ride wasn't that bad. Thank heavens for portable DVD players! We also had a little car problem...we never knew we had a car alarm until it turned on and then we had no way of turning it off! We finally figured out that we could just pull the fuse. When we got there my parents weren't home yet so we took the kids to the park and played for awhile. The kids went to bed early that night exhausted from the day. On Thursday we went to Donner Lake and played at the beach. The kids loved it! That night my Dad took Caiden and Greg to the Reno rodeo. Caiden loves those! Friday we went to Northstar and took the tram up to the top and had a picnic lunch. We then took another tram all the way up and hiked on top of the mountain. Caiden and Maci both loved that! That night Caiden, Maci, and Greg got to experiance their first earthquake! It was a pretty good sized one. On Sat my Dad, Caiden, and Greg went to the movie Brave. My Mom. Maci, and I went to see our friend Judy and did some shopping. Sunday we went to my ward that I grew up in. We were sad when Monday came and we had to go home. We Had so much fin and all Caiden can talk about is when we can go back! I love my parents so much and I am so grateful for the oppertunities to see them!

  1. Fun fun! Except the car alarm, ha ha. Oh goodness, I hope our portable DVD player saves us for California in September--Allison HATES traveling.
